Fazli Meets Đurić

Meeting of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia

Iran-Serbia Committed to Boost All-Out Ties

Mohammad Sadegh Fazli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade, met and held talks on Thursday, February 5, 2026, with Marko Đurić, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

During the meeting, Đurić welcomed the new Iranian ambassador and expressed hope that during his tenure, relations between Tehran and Belgrade would deepen and expand in all areas. The Serbian Foreign Minister, while appreciating the principled and consistent position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting his country’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty, emphasized the need to make maximum use of the potential capacities in bilateral relations.

Fazli also described the relations between the two countries as being based on longstanding ties, mutual respect, and friendship, and stressed that the Iranian embassy would make every effort to facilitate communication and advance shared objectives, particularly in light of conditions in which the international order has been disrupted by hegemonic powers.
