Iran Officially Joins Expo 27 Participants

Signing of I.R. Iran’s Participation Agreement in Expo 2027 Belgrade

Sodeif Beikzadeh Iran’s National Commissioner for Expo 2027 signed the contract for the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this global event

On Thursday, 25 December 2025, in Belgrade, Sodeif Beikzadeh, CEO of the Iran International Exhibitions Company and Iran’s National Commissioner for Expo 2027, signed the contract for the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this global event. The agreement was also signed on behalf of the Government of Serbia by Ms. Jagoda Lazarević, Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade of Serbia and Commissioner General of Expo 2027, and Mr. Danilo Jernić, CEO of Expo 2027.

Following the signing ceremony, Mr. Beikzadeh, speaking to journalists and referring to the positive and expanding relations between the two countries, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks, through its participation in Expo Belgrade, not only to showcase the country’s achievements, but also to strengthen its ties with the people and government of Serbia by presenting its civilizational, cultural, and social symbols, as well as to expand and deepen international interactions and cooperation with other friendly countries in various fields.

Ms. Lazarević also expressed her satisfaction with the signing of the participation agreement with the Iranian delegation, noting that so far 130 countries have announced their participation in the exhibition. She added that Iran is among the first countries to confirm its presence and sign the participation agreement, and expressed hope that Iran’s participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade would contribute to the comprehensive development of bilateral relations.

Mohammad Sadegh Fazli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade, who was also present at the signing ceremony, described the event in a separate interview with journalists as a turning point in cooperation between the two countries, and thanked the Serbian government for its outstanding and commendable efforts in hosting the international Expo 2027 event.

It is worth noting that Expo 2027 Belgrade will be held in Serbia from 15 May to 15 August 2027.
